LESS CO ₂ EMITTED ANUALLY BY THE
TIMAC AGRO RIPALTA PLANT IN ITALY

This reduction has been achieved
by installing 3 , 500 m

of solar panels
on the roof of this production plant .
The power generated meets 35 % of
total demand , delivering a significant
reduction in its environmental footprint ,
at the same time as making it more
energy self - sufficient .

TIMAC AGRO and Terresis use
complementary sources of biomass
to balance energy transition with
performance . TIMAC AGRO uses
a wide range of sources , including
timber , pallets , bark , coconut husks ,
forestry waste and household
waste , to ensure security of supply ,
optimise its costs and achieve
greater f lexibility at the same time
as reducing its carbon footprint
Terresis on the other hand is
using resources such as cashew
nut shells babassu and eucalyptus
waste sourced via a responsible
supply chain This system increases
its use of renewables keeps
emissions under control and
applies the principle of circularity
to support local economies
