since upstream energy generation is measured as
part of Scope 3. The 2022 and 2023 data have also
been updated by applying the same factors. Scope 2
covers only those emissions related to electricity
consumption. They are calculated as location-based
emissions and only the emission factor for France has
been updated for 2024. The indicators for energy
consumption and greenhouse gas emissions per
tonne produced are calculated using data provided
by manufacturing subsidiaries, and exclude vehicle
fuel consumption.
CO

equivalent emissions from freight (Scope 3)
have been calculated for the 2024 f inancial year.
TIMAC AGRO Maroc, Vitas Portugal, TIMAC AGRO
Romania and Vitas Brasil have been excluded as a
result of missing or incomplete data.
These emissions f igures originate in:
• data provided by transport operators (49%
of emissions) which are not accompanied by
information regarding the calculation method used,
raising the risk of some uncertainty, since we do not
specif ically check either the method used or the
results obtained;
• data estimated on the basis of journey departure
and arrival (48% of emissions) — see below for the
methodology used;
• monetary data (2% of emissions);
• data estimated in the absence of information
regarding the journey made (1% of emissions) — see
below for the methodology used.
Methodology
Land distances are taken from Google Maps, and sea
distances from Norfolk Line. The Groupe Roullier AI
tool was used to conf irm these distances. CO

data
have been provided either directly by the transport
operator or sourced from the Ceva Logistics tool for
sea freight. The proportion of subsidiary companies
supporting at least one social, cultural or sports entity
includes only those entities with at least 10 employees
in their workforce.
Audit
The 2024 Declaration of Non-Financial Performance
has been audited by an independent third party: the
Forvis Mazars global audit, accounting and consulting
partnership.
Sources
Sources used for kWh conversion factors and ratios:
ATEE and Primagaz.
Sources used for CO

emission factors: The ADEME
Carbon Footprint Database, BC V3.4, ADEME/AIE and
ecoinvent 3.9.1.
Identif ication of risks
The methodology used to identify and rate risks (by
probability, potential impact, etc.) was updated in
2022 on the basis of the f indings of the stakeholder
consultation and the subsequent prioritisation of
challenges, with reference to the ISO 26000 standard
and our new materiality matrix.
