Community
commitment is
central to our
corporate culture
Right around the world, Groupe Roullier
works as closely as possible with its
stakeholders for the benef it of social
progress and local employment. All our
subsidiaries contribute to this policy
of supporting local communities and
developing a strong regional identity.
Across the Group, this readiness to engage with communities
translates into long-term achievements that are fully in line with our
core values. For example, each subsidiary is encouraged to support
a local non-prof it initiative working to meet the needs of its local
ecosystem.
Listening and dialogue are key to targeting and monitoring the
impacts of these community actions effectively, and a number
of initiatives have been implemented to ensure their continuity.
Magnesitas Navarras relies on the recognised SROI (Social Return
on Investment) methodology to assess the impact of its actions
for the communities of the Navarre valley. The Italian subsidiary of
TIMAC AGRO has continued and intensif ied its process of stakeholder
consultation to gain a clearer understanding of its impacts and how
well its responses align with stakeholder expectations. At TIMAC
AGRO France and Phosphea, community dialogue takes the form of
organised visits to their sites in Saint Malo: a commitment to openness
that is genuinely appreciated by local residents.
To encourage and support initiatives like these, an in-house
guide to partnerships now sets out the rules and best practices
for developing a local partnership policy, choosing partners and
managing partnerships in terms of compliance, taxation, contractual
relationships, etc. Shared with the international communications
community and CSR representatives, the guide is intended to act
as a compass for achieving our goals collectively.
