The Groupe Roullier, a partner of the “Challenge Pépite” start-up contest, has selected the Frensh project as its prizewinner at the Salon des Entrepreneurs event. Created by two students from the ISC Paris Business School, the project speaks to the current trend for disintermediation - something consumers are increasingly opting for.

With the objective of putting student entrepreneurs in direct contact with companies, the “Challenge Pépite” initiative helps students to bring their projects and ideas into line with economic realities.  The competition also promotes partnerships with businesses.

For the second consecutive year, our group has opted to encourage and support an innovative project - this year, the Groupe Roullier Prize was awarded to the Frensh project. Via the creation of a digital marketplace, the project puts farmers and consumers in direct contact with each other, allowing producers to control their own value chain. Thanks to this process of disintermediation, consumers have access to fresh, quality products.

This type of concept is exactly in line with our Group’s approach and ambitions. Indeed, the issue of agricultural distribution has long been a major issue for us.

The proud winners will have the opportunity to experience an “immersion day” at the Groupe Roullier’s Saint-Malo facility. This will give them a chance to rub shoulders with our staff, meet a number of experts in the field, share information and gain feedback about their project, and learn more about the economic realities of the sector. Moreover, these young entrepreneurs will also benefit from support from our Director of Intensive Organic Farming, Olivier Julienne, who will share his experience and expertise with the winners over the next twelve months.

Congratulations to Frensh - we hope the project is a great success!
