Groupe Roullier bolsters its agri-food division through the acquisition of Alysse Food, a belgian company specialising in the production of pastries and baked goods

This takeover further cements our position as a major player in industrial pastry production in France with our Pâtisseries Gourmandes subsidiary (€144 million turnover, 700 employees), and bolsters our Agri-Food Division.

SYNERGY BETWEEN ALYSSE FOOD AND PÂTISSERIES GOURMANDES

This acquisition is part of our Agri-Food Division’s ambitious development project, and will allow it to broaden its expertise in pastries and baked goods while opening up new international avenues for development.

Alysse Food is a family business that was established by Samuel Kupchik in 1995 and is a leading player in Europe in the production of American-inspired pastries and baked goods, such as muffins, brownies, cupcakes and bagels.  This range of products complements the existing selection offered by Pâtisseries Gourmandes, a top player in the production of madeleines, pound cakes, and other cakes and sponges, as well as Breton specialities such as galettes, palets, and more.

With a dual factory in the heart of North-West Europe, Alysse Food boasts industrial expertise that fully aligns with that of Pâtisseries Gourmandes, allowing for consolidation of the current network and a focus on international development.

“This project maintains our current momentum and will allow us to take further steps towards international development”, states Mickaël Le Jossec, head of Agri-Food within Groupe Roullier.

Joseph Kupchik, the current Deputy CEO and the son of Samuel Kupchik, will remain at Alysse Food’s helm under the supervision of Mickaël Le Jossec.
