Groupe Roullier and Sciences Po Rennes co-create the Master Terre & Mer degree

Groupe Roullier, fully involved in the economic development of Brittany, reinforces its commitment in this area by co-creating the Master Terre & Mer alongside Sciences Po Rennes and other organisations.

This unprecedented project was born of the initiative of Jean Ollivro, Professor of Geography at the University of Rennes 2. Faced with the concrete needs of Breton companies, they came up with the idea of offering a Master’s degree aimed at providing students with all the knowledge and expertise needed to prepare them for new interdisciplinary professions involving the development of both land and sea.

Theoretical courses are combined with interventions by professionals from the region; the curriculum is organised as work-linked training, meaning that the Master’s courses are applied to real situations within the company.

This is the result of a collaborative reflection between Jean Ollivro and Breton professors and industrialists. The programme was conceived around three main training directions: the economic stakes in Brittany, communication – notably sensitive communication and communication in a state of crisis –, and innovation projects.

To complete our investment and share our expertise, three members of Groupe Roullier’s management team will be involved in the training: Stéphanie Ledoux, Group Communication Director, Jean-Christophe Piot, Innovation Financing Director, and Nicolas Vermersch, General Director of the Centre Mondial de l’Innovation Roullier.

This Master’s allows students to see what we professionals go though on a daily basis, says Olivier Julienne, General Manager of Development and initiator of the project within Groupe Roullier. It will give students more pragmatic lecture solutions so that they are armed for the future and fully operational in their positions.

Lastly, the Group welcomed one of the students of this first class as part of her work-linked training. As such, Olivia Grenes joined us on 16 October for a year. We invite you to follow her journey, with highlights to come soon.
