  Two R&D projects have just been approved - November 2007
Two innovative projects of the ‘Research and Development’ department of AgroFinance Internationale (AFI) have been granted the seal of approval by Breton clusters.
On the theme “Biology, Marine Biotechnologies and Environment”, the cluster named “Pôle Mer Bretagne” has granted its seal of approval to the project for new nitrogen fertilizers that will improve nutritional and environmental-friendly efficiency. This project will be conducted in partnership with the National Institute for Agronomic Research (INRA) over a three-year period.
On the theme “Health Nutrition”, the agri-foods cluster “Valorial” has granted its seal of approval to the project of developing the use of natural active agents in animal nutrition. This project will be materialised in three years of R&D in partnership with the animal nutrition laboratory of the AFSSA (French Agency of Food Sanitary Safety).
These approvals are the first step towards partial subsidising of these projects by the Government and the local authorities.
 
         
  The Roullier Group reinforces its Board of Directors and its Supervisory Board - June 2007
Karine de la Guéronnière: 35, graduate of the Institut Supérieur de Communication, held several responsibilities with DDB France in Paris before joining Publicis, where she headed a business unit in Rennes for 7 years. In November 2006, she came to the Roullier Group to take over the management of the Group’s Strategy and Commmunication Department. She has now been appointed Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Jean-François Rémond: 55, with a Master’s degree in Financial Management, has been with the Roullier Group for 21 years. During this time he was Administrative and Financial Manager for 7 years, then Managing Director of plasturgy before an 8-year period in Latin America, where he took on the position of Country Manager in Brazil. He is now appointed Managing Director of Industrial Development and supervises the Applied Studies and Research Centre (CERA).

Jean-François Honoré: 40, trained agronomist and graduate of Insead business school, collaborated for 15 years in the Provimi group (a world leader in animal nutrition) in Spain, the United States then in France, where his latest position was managing four companies of the group based in France in a B-to-B approach on the domestic market and internationally. He is appointed Managing Director in charge of Development on the Board of Directors.

Emmanuel Turpin: 35, graduate of University of Paris II Assas School of Law, started his career as corporate lawyer in a professional organisation (UIMM-UIC). He worked for 6 years as HR manager at SANDEN, an automotive subcontractor specialised in air conditioning. He joined the ROULLIER group in November 2004 to take over the management of the Human Resources Department of the Agrochemicals Branch. He is appointed Group Human Resources Director.
 
         
  Florendi Jardin comes to Dinard - Octobre 2006
The Roullier group subsidiary Florendi Jardin specialises in the manufacture and sale of fertilisers for domestic gardening. Its production site in Cognac (Charente) having now become obsolete, the group has chosen to relocate the company to Dinard, where it already has a number of activities. Florendi Jardin is now equipped with a modern, efficient production facility covering 13 000 m², which will enable it to achieve ambitious growth objectives both in France and on the international stage.
The transition stage has just been completed and the Dinard plant is now operational.
 
         
  CERA: A new facility for industrial development - October 2006
As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation the Roullier group has built a new research and development centre at its Dinard site. The CERA (Centre d’Etude et de Recherche Appliquée/ Applied Studies and Research Centre) is housed in a building covering 500m2 and divided into three sections: a pilot factory, a test laboratory and engineering workshops. It is part of the Group’s commitment to group all of its R&D activities in industrial processes for agricultural supplies and agro-chemicals and to promote inter-team synergy and exchange. With this in mind, the CERA will cater for projects such as the development of new products and processes, factory support programmes and collaborative and demonstration testing. The centre also has a facility for young engineers and new staff in training.
 
         
  Timac’s fertiliser activity receives ISO 9001 certification - October 2006
Timac’s fertiliser and soil conditioner development and manufacturing activity has officially received ISO 9001 certification (version 2000). Following the certification of its mineral licks activity in 1997, its tele-services facility in 2000 and its administrative services in 2001, this is further evidence of TIMAC’s commitment to quality. The AFAQ highlighted several strong points during the certification process: management commitment, reactivity to customers and customer satisfaction appraisal, systematic monitoring of indicator results and efficiency-improving actions for all processes, manufacturing expertise, dispatching organisation and lastly the corrective and preventive measures implementation environment.
