MAGNESITAS NAVARRAS operates its own magnesia deposits and transforms the magnesia in its factory in Zubiri (Spain).
Magnesitas Navarras has confirmed its development in its two traditional fields of activity:
- caustic calcined magnesite (CCM) for animal feed and the fertiliser industry,
- dead burnt magnesite (DBM) for the iron and steel industry.
The company pursues its efforts towards diversification by positioning itself on the new environment market, with the use of magnesia oxide or hydroxide for:
- treatment of solid residues (soils polluted by heavy metals following industrial treatments),
- treatment of liquid outputs (acid water),
- permeable reactive barriers.
The commercial teams are spread over Europe and the American continent.
They will be further reinforced this year and several research and development programs are underway, notably with the University of Barcelona.
MAGNESITAS NAVARRAS has an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of finished products.
